What is the benefit of creating an account?

By creating an account with Old Captain, you will receive newsletters and special discount codes you can use on our website and at store locations. You will also receive invites to Old Captain events, know before anyone else where the Old Captain bus will be next and you will be allowed sneak peeks at the new season collections before anyone else and much more!! 

What happens if I forget my password?

Well.. you're not alone and there is no need to worry. If you forget your password. You are able to reset it on our website and you will receive a confirmation email with your new password.

How Long does the process of creating a shirt online take?   

This is the fun part! You get the opportunity to design and create your very own luxury shirt from beginning to end and, in only 5-10 minutes, you will have created a custom shirt. 

After ordering, how long will it take for a shirt to be made and delivered?

Once you have placed your order, it will take from 2 to 4 weeks for the skilful hands of the Captain’s design crew to craft your shirt. 5 if custom made. Once your shirt is ready, it will be shipped out and, on average, it will take a couple of days for you to receive your order if you live in Switzerland. Couple of weeks around the world.

What if I am unsure about my size?

 Is not about the size, is how you use it. 😆😂

Just kidding, if you are unsure about your size and the cut and are worried that the shirt will not fit properly, there is no need to worry. You can contact us on the website chat or by email and one of Old Captain’s crew members will help you through the online process to create your one of a kind shirt or give you different solutions.


Can I order premade shirts on the website as well?

On our website, you can only order our newest collection by custom making a shirt. If you wish not to create a custom shirt and just wish to order a premade shirt, you are able to do so but only from our Old Collections. To buy or order premade shirts from our newest collection, you have to go to stores that carry our products.

Where are the shirts made exactly?

Each one of Old Captain shirts are made locally in Lugano in the south of Switzerland. We create our shirts in a small fashion factory which houses are own little shirt production chain. All of our exclusive fabrics are made 1 hour from Lugano in a small beautiful fabric factory in Italy. Some fabrics we search for while we #wandertheworld to bring some special one of a kind piece for our customers. 

What materials are used to create the shirts? 

The fabrics that we use at Old Captain are the best quality in the world. Our Captain, Yari Copt, developed exclusive prints, on high quality fabrics like organic cotton, Tencel, linen and more.

Why do the shirts cost so much?

This shirts are rare.

We develop our shirts in a small factory in the south of Switzerland where expert hands take care of the production build on the foundation of Swiss Made: high-quality, luxury, exclusivity and tradition. The quality is the top on the market for the fabrics and the manufacture. The price is high but it fair. We are very transparent with the prices and margins. Every player in this , from the producer, to the brand, the shop and you the final client have the same kind of margin (2.0 on the collection and 2.5 on the custom made) , that is way lower and much fair than what the majority of fashion brands do.

Outside of Switzerland the price will be higher but it will be inclusive of ALL costs like:

- shipment world wide

- Swiss border taxes

- TVA of your country

- extra shipment and border costs

So when you get your shirt there's gonna be no surprises cause we took care of everything.

 Where can I be measured and create a shirt in person?

You can call us at Old Captain and one of our crew will arrange an appointment at our headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland.  Here, you will have the opportunity to come and speak with one of our skilful designers who will help you in the process of creating an amazing shirt and you may even see the Captain himself! 

What do I do if I receive a damaged shirt or an incorrect item?

If you receive a damaged shirt or an incorrect item, you can either call or email us about the damages you found. Once inquires have been made we at Old Captain will send you a new shirt at no extra cost.

Am I able to return a custom shirt?

There are no returns, however, if the mistake is ours, we will do our best to correct the problem. Please contact us with any concerns or inquiries you may have.

Can I replace a shirt that doesn’t fit or is cut wrong for no extra cost?

If you have ordered a custom shirt and when upon delivery you find that the shirt either doesn’t fit properly or the measurements or the cut of the shirt is wrong, you can send it back and we will make the necessary changes for no extra cost. For just a normal premade shirt, you will have up to 30 days to return the shirt for a full refund.

Will I be reimbursed for shipping my order back?

For any reason you need to send your order back to us, we at Old Captain will reimburse you for all the shipping costs with a discount on your next buy.

Am I able to cancel my order?

Once you have placed an order you won't be able to cancel. But you can always contact us and tell us what went wrong and we'll help you to adjust or cancel the order if needed. 

What are the payment options?

We accept MasterCard, VISA, PayPal & TWINT. We can also arrange a e-banking prepayment.

Will I receive a confirmation email?

Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email and receipt that confirms your order has been received. If you don’t. Check your spam folder. Sometimes we end there…

Can I track my order?

Yes, you will receive a tracking number in your confirmation email which will allow you to follower your packs live on the swiss post website.

Countries we ship to

At this time, we are mainly shipping orders within Switzerland. But we do FREE SHIPPING Worldwide. For international shipping expect customs duty and VAT extra costs.

Shipping Provider, Costs and Delivery Time

At Old Captain we use Swiss Post for all our shipping and always do priority shipping for each order. For deliveries in Switzerland the shipping will be FREE. In the future, for deliveries outside of Switzerland there will be a surcharge depending on where you live and for any extra country taxes. 

The timeframe for deliveries within Switzerland will take approximately 3-5 business days and for deliveries outside of Switzerland it will take approximately 7 business days but depending on where you live it may take longer.
